Natural ways to fight depression

There are lots of natural things you can do to ward off depression. Here are some of the simplest:

Have a tuna sandwich Tuna is high in vitamin B6, which studies have shown is low in people with depression. It contains omega-3 fatty acids, which studies suggest can help prevent depression.

Try a new light bulb. Studies suggest that full- spectrum bulbs, which simulate sunshine, can actually help prevent or alleviate depression.

Take a calcium magnesium supplement. Not only does magnesium help our bodies to absorb i calcium, an essential osteoporosis fighter, but the combo is a winner at regulating the nervous system and keeping anxiety away.

Snack on a  banana. Rich in depression-fighting potassium, they’ve also been shown to raise serotonin levels in the brain, causing a feel-good reaction.

Ask your mate for a massage! Studies show that massage may help release mood-enhancing hormones and clear toxins from the body.
