Mariam Chilingirian

During the revolution of Urfa, in 1915, Mariam participates as a group leader. In her group were ladies, Gemchian, Mirzayan and Tuptupyan, dressed as man and armed, tracking the attacking Turks. Mariam defends the Sakachontz home position.

According to people who knew Mariam, she was cool and knew how to encourage and uplift her fighters mood. The people called her "Timourleng" because she was lame.

When Harutuyn Rastgelenian is killed in the church court, Mariam is the person that successfully drags his body inside the church, in turn getting her leg hit by the enemy bullets.

Mariam was part of good bomber group.

At the end of the heroic fight Mariam is arrested. First she is sentenced to death, but the sentence was changed to 101 years of prison together with Yeghisapet Yotneghperian.

During the armistice of 1918, she is let free from jail..
